Jaya Simha is the Second King of the Mahispal Dynasty according to Gopal Raja Bansawali. The text has referred to Jaya Simha as having ruled for Seventy-One Years and Two Months.

He was the son of King Vara Simha and the Father of King Bhuvana Simha, the last king of the Mahispal Dynasty.

Daniel Wright’s Geneology has stated that Jayamati Sinha was the son of King Bara Sinha. However, the Geneology has omitted his Regnal Years.

The genealogy of Kirkpatrick has similarly mentioned Jye Singh (Jaya Simha) as the Second Mahispal King of Nepal.
