Introduction to Julam

Julam was the 18th King of the Kirat Dynasty and ruled over Nepal for 73 years and 3 Months according to Gopal Raja Bansawali. He was the Successor of King Simghu and was succeeded by King Lukam.

The Geneology prescribed by Daniel Wright and the famed Bhasa Bansawali have omitted the name of Julam from their Chronology of Kirat Kings that ruled Nepal.

The Geneology of William Kirkpatrick, on the other hand, has claimed Julam as one of the 27 Kings of the Kirat Dynasty.

Bhasa Bansawali

Bhasa Bansawali has, however, mentioned King Jane who was the Grandson of Thunko and the great-grandson of Svananda.

He has been attributed the Regnal Years of 73 years and 2 Months which actually resembles that of Julam.

Genealogy of Kirkpatrick

The Geneology of Kirkpatrick mentions a King named Jenneo (Julam). It states that he reigned over Nepal for 73 years and 2 Months.

Genealogy of Daniel Wright

Daniel Wright, on a similar note to Bhasa Bansawali, has incorporated Nane into the list of the Kirat Kings. According to the text, he is the 16th King of the Kirat Dynasty.

Epilogue

Note: The Prehistory of Nepal up to the Kirat Dynasty lacks sufficient evidence to ensure its reliability. The article has been written through the consolidation of Chronologies with minimum interpretation to preserve its Historiographical Accuracy. In the case of Further Evidence coming into Light, it needs to be posited that the Chronologies themselves have solely inspired the materials of the Article.
