Introduction to Melam

King Melam was the successor of King Pelam according to the Famed Gopal Raja Bansawali. The text has affirmed that King Melam ruled over Nepal as the Third King of the Kirat Dynasty for 89 years.

King Melam has been omitted from the rest of the Standard Genealogies of Nepali History.

Bhasa Bansawali mentions Ghaskan as the Son of Pavi and completely leaves him out.

On a Similar Note, The Geneology of Daniel Wright mentions Skandhara as the Third King of the Kirat Dynasty.

The Geneology established by William Kirkpatrick has mentioned Ballancha as the Third Kirat King of Nepal.
